In Spring 2023, I was the Assistant Costume Designer for Southern Utah University's production of Cabaret. Under designer Matthew Pedersen's mentorship, I made one of Sally Bowles' dresses from a reproduction 1930's dress pattern, as well as sewing and hand beading Sally's luxurious velvet cocoon coat. Plus, I designed and pulled costume pieces for the two female understudies, in addition to pulling/altering accessories or small costume pieces for the rest of the cast. The show was directed by Britannia Howe, with scenic design by Brian Beacom, lighting by Amelia Ludt, and with Avery Peterson as Sally. Photos 1-4 are by Asher J. Swan; all other photos are mine.
